Celebrating Ravel’s 150th birthday, UCLA professor and head of piano Inna Faliks performs his iconic, fiendishly difficult masterwork Gaspard de la Nuit, written in response to the poetry of the symbolist poet Aloyisius Bertrand. This triptych of Ondine, Le Gibet and Scarbo will be preceded by a performance of Ravel’s sonata for violin and piano with Distinguished Professor Movses Pogossian and Faliks. The concert concludes with Faliks, joined by Varty Manouelian, violin, and Ben Hong, cello, in Shostakovich’s 2nd Trio in E minor.

This event is FREE! Early arrival is recommended. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. No RSVP required.
